Judges at ACP Festival 2016

Wearable Art/Headwear Judges


Peter Pullon

Pullon has previously exhibited as part of ACP’s ‘Off The Wall’ Exhibition in 2015. A model maker of ventriloquist puppets, creator of advertising icons and a sculptor of fine art. Peter trained in the theatre as a scenic artist and soon progressed to become the youngest theatre property master in the country. In his late twenties he was encouraged by fellow colleagues and celebrities to form his own model and prop making company which rapidly became one of the largest in the UK servicing the TV, theatre and film industry.


Anthony Lewis Churchill

A background stretching across illustration, design and puppetry; Director,Founder and Creative Director at Little Wings the Umbrella Co. Ltd and Intuitive Life Coach was one of our judges at this year’s festival and is an ongoing supporter of ACP!


Selina Blow

Born in Gloucestershire much influenced from her mixed heritage and Sri Lankan background Blow embraces colour and textiles. Well known for her use of textiles and her unabashed approach of clashing colours and fabrics. Blow mainly works in London and is a firm believer of UK production. Her pieces are renowned for being collector’s items, but worn as part of every day life, pieces from Blow’s collection are shown at the V&A and The Metropolitan Museum in New York.


Alta Hagan Thorne

Alongside a great career in interior design Thorne was once a senior designer for the women’s collection of Polo Ralph Lauren in New York. She graduated from the College of Charleston.


Mary Wing-To
Mary Wing-To

A Savile Row fashion designer with a taste for leather has taken the supreme WOW award for her garment based on a mythological horsewoman. Trained under the discerning eye of the the Queens Master Saddler, Mary Wing To is a fully qualified City & Guilds Harness Maker with a Masters degree in Fashion Design & Technology from London College of Fashion. Mary has passionately worked with Leather for over 10 years.

Jennie Roberts
Jennie Roberts

Jennie Roberts is the founder and director of the UK’s biggest body painting festival, Paintopia. She started out as a face painter and after meeting Cat Finlayson and developing her painting further, she branched into body painting. Discovering a lack of events in their region Jennie created Paintopia, which over the last four years has snowballed and Paintopia 2015 hosted over 200 face and body painters from over ten countries, including five previous world champions.

Jo Peters is known for her unique and creative body art where she paints stunning patterns and images onto the bellies of soon-to-be mothers. These creations are not only adorable, they represent the true love a mother feels for her child and shows us how beautiful a new life can really be.
