Joleen has always been very creative since she was little. She would take a colouring book or a sketch book with her wherever she went. She loves painting, drawing, sewing and creating. As soon as she heard about the ACP Open competition she had been extremely excited. She particularly enjoys creating abstract art using bright vivid colour. She also miniaturises with polymer clay and enjoys sewing felt fabric art. Her favourite medium is watercolour.
Giving her piece the title, ‘Floating Roses’, Joleen used materials such as spray paint, various types of fabrics, wire, glue and string.
“Superb creativity and ability for her age, we’d like her to carry on.”
